Totalitarian societies deprive individuals of their freedom of belief, this undue exaltation of the state authority curiously enough, postulates a kind of slavery to the state. Islam says faith in God Almighty comes from the heart, you have to believe to have faith and it can’t be forced. It’s a personal choice.

13 RULERS ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW
a well placed woman from a noble family was caught stealing. The case was brought before the Prophet and it was recommended that she might be spared. the Prophet PBUH said,”The nations that lived before you were destroyed by God because they punished the common man and let their dignitaries go unpunished for their crimes. I swear by Him that holds my life in His handthe even if Fatima (daughter of MohammadPBUH) had commited this crime I would have amputated her hand.”

14 THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AFFAIRS OF STATE
The Quran lays down:
“And their business is conducted through consultation among themselves.” 42:38
The legislative assembly, executive head and members of assembly be elected by free and independant choice of the people. Islam invites mankind to move to a plan of existence where, by reason of his inner excellence, man can realize the ideal of the Brotherhood of Man.
