Do Muslims Bless Abraham and His Seed?

“I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you,and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” (Gen 12:2-3)

Do Muslims Bless Abraham and his seed? Yes, five times a day, everyday Muslims make special prayers for Abraham and his seed. In the ending of the prayer Muslims say:

O God, Send blessings upon (Holy Prophet) Muhammad and upon the entire of family and followers of Muhammad as You did send blessings upon Abraham and upon the family and followers of Abraham; indeed, You are praiseworthy and glorious. O God! Bless (Holy Prophet) Muhammad and the family and followers of Muhammad as You blessed Abraham and family and followers of Abraham; indeed, You are praise worthy and glorious.

Now, remember, Muhammad being a great great grand son of Ishmeal, his is part of Abraham’s family. The words “As you did” simply do not mean as you did in the past, but in the past continuous sense, from then to now and forever. So, Muslims seem to bless and pray for Abraham and his seed five times a day. The following is the arabic text of the prayer.
