Olive oil, specifically extra-virgin olive oil, is clearly one of the good oils for you. And, according to new research, it contains oleocanthal, a natural anti-inflammatory agent that has the same effect as taking ibuprofen, a potentially toxic over-the-counter (OTC) drug.
In fact, a “daily dose” of olive oil in the neighborhood of 50 grams equaled about 10 percent of an adult dosage of ibuprofen.
