“My Father is Greater Than I”

From the Muslim perspective Jesus never claimed to be God or son of God from his own self. To get an understanding of the Muslim perspective, please observe the following saying of Jesus himself.

We will do this by looking at the Book of John, Chapter 10…

John 10.11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
10.24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ,
tell us plainly.

PLEASE NOTE HERE THAT, MUSLIMS ALSO BELIEVE JESUS IS THE CHRIST, NOT SON OF GOD.

10.25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not; the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.

IN MY FATHERS NAME– FROM THE MUSLIM PERSPECTIVE JESUS WAS SERVANT OF GOD AND ACTED AND SPOKE LIKE ONE.  IN LITERATURE ONE SPEAKS IN THE NAME OF THE MASTER.

10.26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
10.27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
10.28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
10.29 My Father which gave them me is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
10.29 I and My Father are one.

I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE? DOES THIS MEAN JESUS AND THE FATHER ARE ONE? IN THE MUSLIM UNDERSTANDING WHEN WE LOOK AT THE CONTEXT, WHEN JESUS JUST SAID, “MY FATHER WHICH IS GAVE THEM ME IS GREATER THAN ALL”  SHOWS THAT THEY MEAN JESUS, THE PROPHET, AND GOD THE CREATOR ARE ONE IN PURPOSE.  SECOND, GOD IS THE GIVER, AND THE SERVANT IS THE SEEKER.

10.30 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
